My daughter Rachel's photo of a Victorian horse-drawn hearse on display in Newtown Sydney during a Goth festival. As promised for . (See I do - Eventually!!! - keep my promises )
Great photo, I love the plumes on the horses heads We still use these beautiful horse drawn hearses for funerals here in England, we had one in my town just a few weeks ago, but they cost an awful lot of money
Thanks Thelma. It made a great display. Times sure change. I'm not sure if it would be legal to use it here - even slow funeral cortages have been banned, due to traffic jams. Maybe simple is better (?), but certainly less expensive!
Wow, that sounds a little harsh, but like you say, maybe simple is better. I reckon they're still used here because we English are so used to waiting in queues and lines etc', we hardly ever complain hehe
I remember those "funeral services" when I was a little kid... ....Now you will never see that in town, it doesn't work that way anymore!! ...Horses are not cars!!...
